This week the strategy I have learned is:

using compensation and place value to solve timetable problem. Here is an example of how to use it:

Place value:

8  x  29=232

(8  x  20)  +  (8  x 9)= 232

160                  72

Compensation:

8  x  29 =232

(8  x  30)  -  (8  x  1) = 232
