Biscuit Decorating.

Today we have had an activity that the Te Rangatira group , organized  for each soul friend will come together and spend quality time together. I am sure that my soul friend and I had a lot of fun and I learnt a lot about my soul friend. The biscuit that I have decorated had a lot of icing so a lot of icing mean a lot of sweetness. The purpose of doing is so we get to know or soul friends better.

This is a picture of my group and I trying to put three doubled  plastic bottle together. For me the hardest thing that I did in the hall was trying to put my art work in to the bottle. This is the first project that I have been involved in, that project is going to be seen by 60 thousand people, it is going to be seen in the water-front. These bottles are going to be made into three green houses.

Home Is Special!!!

 Opening Statement

           Why my home is Special. First of all homes are  important to us because we grow a lot of special memories from the past that we can keep. Some of my special moments are how people gather around as one big happy family or how we celebrate something special for someone special which can be a bridge to your future. But one thing  I won’t forget is that homes are like a sunshine moment.

Body:

Firstly: Sometimes in homes you can live with maximum amount of people such as brothers, sisters, mum, dad, uncle and much much more. It is a place that shelters you and keeps you warm on a dreadful day, Also homes are important to people because they were born there.

Secondly:

Homes can be just at one place, but it can also be anywhere in the world such as: Australia, South Africa, Colombia and any other countries in the world. But if we didn’t have a home we will be sleeping on hard ground in the dark or underneath shop shelter or even get wet when it rains . You will feel cold in the wet rain. But if you have an apartment that will count as a special home to you to.

Thirdly:  

Home is a place that you treat as your own property, with respect and care. My heart will be your shelter and arms will be your home. It can also be a place gathering place. You can gather as a family for a family reunion, birthday or just have a family meeting.  

Conclusion:

Not only homes can be special but it can be your environment. But there is nothing like staying at a home that make you comfortable every single day, as long  as you live at the same house. A home is where you can start one big happy family. The home you live in can be a treasure chest of memories.

Positive:

The things we did well in our group were that everyone in our group participated and also we had different jobs like some of us worked on the fence, and other worked on other different job

Negative:

The things we didn’t do well is that we kept talking over each other and we weren't listening to what each other said. We fighted some of the time  but we got along., also we did produce what we were AIMING for, we were AIMING for something looking 3d on more Inputs of the dairy farmer.  Also our work wasn’t at standard like it was meant to be.

My difficulty was cutting, I am not a really great cutter.

But besides that we done pretty well, But I think that we can work on our team work and communicating.

Expressive writing: fathers day

Well actually father was really a good fathers day for me because My father wasn't there but I know that he was beside me and looking down at us. But I was sure that he was celebrating fathers day in heaven with God, but I think he just wanted one more fathers day with his family. Father’s day was quite a little emotional for me and my family. It was quite an good father day because we celebrated it with our community and we had  a feed and cake with ice-cream. The youth had to serve the fathers, mother and also the kids, so we did not have to get up and go get food. Well the big kids had to, so we just helped ourselves to the food and the desert. Delicious cake, the ice- cream was really melting in my mouth. It wasn't what i expected fathers day to be, but I just wish to have one more father day with my lovely father

This morning when I woke up I looked outside and the sun has not awaken from it sleep. I got out of bed, it was chilly so I tried and not go back into bed because I will fall asleep again. So I walked into the bathroom and I felt like it was frosty, I tried to be tough and not go back into bed. I turned on the tap and the tap felt icy, I put my hand in the running was and straight away my hands felt frozen. Right after I washed my face I went into the room and got my uniform and Ironed it I put of my uniform and it felt like I was at a tropical Island. Later on I got organized for school. As soon as I walked outside when my aunt came it felt like it was snowing.

On Monday was such a tiring day because my Family and I went to show our support to the family who lost there mother. 

Well actually they were there ever since the morning I am sure they were starving. I was really shy to get off of the car because I was wearing my school uniform but I got off any ways. I walked out of the tent and I saw the Glendowie Community standing outside and giving cakes to people to hold so we can go and give it to the people who were standing at the back doing the food. It was so awkward because I didn't know any one there expect my cousin dad brother and sisters. But my cousin knew everyone there because she was related to them and I wasn't, so I stayed next to my grandma and waited until they started the prayer. Right After the prayer they gave out food, then they came and thanked us showing our support for there LOST

(One of the worst days of my life)

One of the worst days of my life was when I lost on of my family member which was my dad.When passed away felt miserable because he was the one who pushed me to do the best i can do in everything I do. Everyone who was there when he passed away was very miserable just like I was. My tears were running down my face like it was a waterfall falling down to the stream, I tried to clam my-self down but I couldn't because I was experiencing what it feels like to lose someone you really loved that has been part of your life. But It was good that God has taken up to heaven,so he does not have to suffer from the pain he was going through ever since he was a little kind. 

This is a little riddle I have read:

Yesterday was an awful day for me because my neck was sore and I felt like I could not move I, so I had to stay in bed with my sore neck. My neck felt I had broke it, my neck was a real pain to me because my brother and sister was jumping on me when I was sleeping, it was so annoying.

It was also a awful day because I missed out on a lot of my school work and also because we had a netball game on.

Today so far has been a great day. 
So far today has been good because I learnt about Glasgow. I am enjoying my day because I am learning a lot about things outside of that I did not know before. Later in the day I was sad when I heard that my cousin's grandma was moved into the hospice to stay which is at Manurewa. Today I think is going to be a relaxing day because everyone is doing there work. 

Milk experiment.

CHILLY MILK EXPERIMENT:

PURPOSE:   TO OBSERVE AND RECORD THE CHANGES WHEN DIFFERENT MILK IS PUT IN THE FREEZER.

WHAT YOU NEED: a selection of 3 different type of milk

clear container

WHAT TO DO: Put  an equal volume of each type of milk in a clear container

Place each container in the freezer

Record what happens to each type of milk as it freezes.  Note its colour, texture and shape.

Record the time it takes to each variety to freeze.

Type of milk	what it looked like once it had been freezed.	Time taken to freeze
UP & GO	Icy, the colour went kind of darker.	It took over night.
CONDENSED MILK	I looks the same. ( GOEY )	Not sure because it is still not frozen
ALMOND MILK	It looked icy, ( WHITE ICE ) did not look like milk at all.	It took over night

UP & GO PREDICTION :

`With the Up & Go our prediction is that it'll go kind of flaky/icy

The colour will go lighter so will the texture and the shape will be round, depending on the shape of the container or cup.

TIME : 30 - 35 MINS

CONDENSED MILK PREDICTION :

We think that it’ll freeze slowly because of how goey it is, or it might just be icy cold.

The colour will kind of stay the same so as the texture & the shape will just be goey and round because of the cup it is in. But then it might only be the top that freezes,and the inside it’ll just be icy cold and goey.

TIME : 30-55 MINS

ALMOND MILK PREDICTION :

We think that the almond milk will freeze, but it’ll kind of take it’s time. W sa that the colour will stay the same or look a bit watery.  The texture would look the same and the shape would be round/circle.

Conclusion:

My conclusion is that the condensed milk didn't freeze because there is no water in it. to freeze something you have water in it, for example, up & go and almond milk has a lot water.

 

Mrs Pole Farewell.....

Mrs Pole 

Today was a pretty exhausted day, because we had a farewell mass for one of our teachers named Mrs Pole.  It was such a long mass but also emotional to say bye to her. Some of the ex- students and teachers came back to say good-bye.  It was  packed full of different  people who knew Mrs Pole . Some of the ex- students went up and said some kind  words about their experience with Mrs Pole.

This mass was important because Mrs Pole is one of the best teachers that have been teaching at Saint Pius X Catholic School ever since 1996. She is one of the oldest teacher at Saint Pius.  I will never forget her words “ You make my blood boil!” It was amazing to see Mrs Pole smile again,  I am going to miss Mrs Pole so much.

My Behavior in room 7.. :)

I think my behavior on managing self is good.  I rate my-self a 5/10. I think my behavior on relating to other was a little be bad because I worked by my-self. So I give myself a 4/10

I think I was pretty good on Participating & Contributing because I participate in everything we did.
